being used by the international anarchist organization Class War

Trivia

Class War's skull logo was copied from the logo of the Welsh
punk band the Soldier Dolls. The band gave their permission for
Class War to use it, but it was copied by anarchist groups all over
the world and is still in use.
The single version of Gotham City Is Dead has been released on a
compilation by Dagger Records USA called
Shielded by Death Vol 4 (The Inmates Are Running the Asylum)

So we did what they thought could not be done.

We managed to get together after a 20 year hibernation,
record an album of 15 songs, play a kick ass gig of 23 songs
all in under a week.
__
Here's a review of the gig from www.welshpunk.f2s.

I went to the Soldier Dolls Reunion gig on Saturday.  At Le Pub Newport - a small attic in the centre
of Newport. It was freezing cold there everyone kept their coats on and the PA sounded shit.  Four
Letter Word came on first - minus a bass player which was a shame as their music seemed ok.

The Dolls came on at about ten o'clock and really warmed the place up.  Everyone must have
been wondering how they would sound as they hadn't played together in 20 years.  They thrashed
out their set in typical early eighties punk style.  Three rhythm guitars going at it at 90 mile and hour
and a pulsating bass line to acomodate a really good drummer.  Having not heard much of their
stuff before the gig I was really impressed. Each of their songs had something different to offer.

Its more than obvious that a great deal of thought has gone into each song.  It makes you think
what could've been if they just had a couple of years off here and there like a lot of other punk
bands instead of a 20 year holiday!

All in all I enjoyed their set and will look forward to the new studio album due out this summer.

The Dolls have really achieved a lot in this fortnight.... Recorded an album and rehearsed for a one
off gig.  This is no mean feat bearing in mind that Fester lives in Canada, the drummer in Spain
and the lead guitarist comes from France.

I recommend them wholeheartedly five stars.

and no we didn't pay the reviewer to say we were good.in fact some people, well one
person at least, thought we were the worst band he'd ever seen see for yourself at
